I tried a few things to fix this, but it's not straightforward, lowering the priority until I can look again.

Clicking on AMP links does not open anything in Chrome Canary. Middle clicking to open in new tab functions.

The link is highlightable and I can hover over it, inspecting the element shows everything is in order and copying the link from the element functions.

No usable data in console/log/sawbug log viewer
You started fixing this bug over two years ago. Are you still working on it?
