Clear Data in Browser History is not working correctly

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Perform some activity in chrome browser of my android smartphone
2. Go to browser's history and click 'Clear Data' from the past day
3. It loads for a few sec, then redirects you to the history page where all the history is still there and each url can be clicked and opened again. 

What is the expected behavior?
After the cleaning took place, it should redirect you to the cleaned history page. 

What went wrong?
My browser history is not cleaned correctly and my privacy is at risk. 

Did this work before? Yes Previous versions 

Chrome version: 52.0.2743.98  Channel: stable

Hello there, thanks for reporting this issue.
I am unable to reproduce the issue that you reported on the same version of Chrome on Android as you reported so I am going to mark this as WontFix.
If you have more reliable steps to reproduce this issue, please feel free to open the bug back with those details.
