Unable to resume paused page downloads when there are more than one |
||
Issue descriptionWhen I queue up multiple pages for download, and pause one, I can't get back to it later to resume it until all successive pages complete. Steps: 1. (just to make testing easier) enable the "Enable offline pages to load in the background" flag to make the "Save Page For Later" menu item appear. 2. Go to a page with lots of links (I used bluesnews.com) 3. Repeat 3-4 times a. long press on a link to get the context menu b. Select "Save Page For Later" from the menu. c. Quickly go to the notification area and pause the page download. Expected: I can resume all of the paused downloads from the notification area. Actual: I can only resume the top download, other downloads don't get the cancel and pause buttons back until they become the top download by virtue of all notifications above it getting dismissed. Maybe this is by design, but I found myself feeling a bit frustrated and confused. Perhaps a better design would be to have a notification expand to show the resume and cancel buttons if it was tapped on once. Version: Chrome Dev (as of Aug 31): 54.0.2840.6

This is the Android UI design, you need to expand the notifications (by using a swipe down gesture on the particular notification) to see the cancel and resume button.

I tried a swipe down gesture on the notification and didn't see it expand to show cancel and resume. Is this a bug? (Seen in Chrome Dev 54.0.2840.6) Also, a tap on the notification to expand it seems more intuitive than a swipe down, I would never have thought to try a swipe down, but I did try tapping. |
