Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_9_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.80 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Create an HTML page containing the sequence 🏳️‍🌈 2. Open the HTML page. This is also reproducible with JavaScript: document.write(String.fromCharCode(55356, 57331, 65039, 8205, 55356, 57096)); What is the expected behavior? Browser correctly renders the Rainbow Flag emoji as described at http://www.unicode.org/L2/L2016/16183-rainbow-flag.pdf What went wrong? Browser crashes with "Aw, snap" Crashed report ID: crash/5a24106500000000 How much crashed? Just one tab Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? No Chrome version: 53.0.2785.80 Channel: beta OS Version: OS X 10.9.5 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0 Discovered due to WordPress emoji checks (https://github.com/WordPress/WordPress/blob/4.6/wp-includes/js/wp-emoji-loader.js#L57), but present on any page including the emoji (e.g. http://emojipedia.org/rainbow/)

Thanks chris@ for filing this. As per the stack trace of attached crash id: 5a24106500000000, this looks to be same as Issue 549610 and is specific to Mac OS 10.9.5. Issue 549610 is Fixed and fix is available in the latest beta(53.0.2785.89). Please ping this bug if you still see this on Beta. Thank you!
