[MD dropdown] Regression: In chrome://md-settings/fonts,selected font style is not seen in dropdown.

Version: 55.0.2844.0 (Official Build) canary 2496c83eb444228b4c161c9ef24db2f0171d2fe5-refs/heads/master@{#415023} (64-bit)
OS: Mac (10.10.5, 10.11.4)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1) Launch chrome and navigate to chrome://md-settings/fonts
2) Click on Standard font input dropdown and observe.

On clicking Standard font dropdown, selected font style is not seen.

On clicking Standard font dropdown, selected font style should be seen.

This is a Regression issue broken in M-54, below is the bisect info

Demetrios, this is another 'popup menus are not working correctly' bug.

This will be addressed by the <select> migration,  crbug.com/651513 . A native <select> always ensures that the currently selected option is visible when it is expanded, see example at https://jsfiddle.net/hbkuua4x/4/.
