Try-bot failures being reported as "exceptions" |

Issue descriptionLately I've had a number of try-bot runs report as "exceptions" (purple in codereview) even though they actually "failed" (red in codereview). Perhaps this is just me / my particular patch (e.g. see https://codereview.chromium.org/2288473002/ patch-set #5) and not a general issue, but I don't see any obvious signs to explain the difference.

Looks like build pages are returning 404 now and they were also not recorded in Milo: https://luci-milo.appspot.com/buildbot/tryserver.chromium.win/win_chromium_x64_rel_ng/270971. Do you remember which steps were marked as purple, so I can check if the logdog has preserved logs?

Closing as WontFix since I can't debug the logs. Please reopen if you have additional info on which steps failed or if you see another example of this. We should be recording all builds in Milo now. |
