Pinch Zoom doesn't trigger a resize event

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.116 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Listen for a resize event.
2. Pinch Zoom in or out
3. 

What is the expected behavior?
Browser should trigger a resize event.

What went wrong?
No resize event is triggered.

Did this work before? N/A 

Chrome version: 52.0.2743.116  Channel: stable
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

This happens on Windows 10 with touch while using chrome browser only. Other browsers on same device trigger resize events.

On FF and Edge it will print "resize" to the console when pinch zooming, but not on Chrome.
