I don't think it matters.
Open some simple web page (say www.elg.no) and execute localStorage.setItem('foo','bar') in the DevTools console. Then try to Clear Site Data. The item will not get cleared as one would expect.

Able to repro this issue on Windows 7, MAC (10.11.6) & Ubuntu Trusty (14.04) for Google Chrome Stable Version - 53.0.2785.89 This is a Non-Regression issue existing from M52 - # 52.0.2730.0 Before this build, the option "Application" is not available. @zarkoh: Could you please have a look and let me know if the procedure followed is correct or not? Thank you.

The procedure you presented seems fine except that in your video I can see that the "Clear site data" button changes its visual state (label and so). Plus you're not showing evidence that the item is thereafter gone from local storage. Also, now that I got the latest version in the dev channel (54.0.2840.6 dev (64-bit) at this moment), I can no longer reproduce the issue with the example of elg.no The problem however remains as originally explained. I am running a local server on a URL like http://localhost:8100/#/app, where the app has some data in both local storage and IndexedDB. The data is not cleared when I click on "Clear site data".

The problems seems gone in 54.0.2840.8 dev (64-bit). I guess you can close this one now.

Not working now. Same use case and same version as in the previous comment.

I am unable to reproduce this. This is what I've tried: 1. Navigated to "http://www.elg.no/" and then I opened devtools via the shortcut (DevTools are docked to the right). 2. In the console I executed "localStorage.setItem('it', 2)" and then followed with just "localStorage" to confirm the value was recorded. 3. I refreshed the page and confirmed the value is still there. 4. I clicked "Clear Selection" on the "Clear Storage" page. 5. Executed "localStorage" to confirm the value is gone. Step 5 yielded "Storage {length: 0}"
