Issue descriptionChrome Version: 54.0.2840.6 Revision 913de510430509b3a185e36e6ad568fe29392df6-refs/branch-heads/2840@{#28}(32/64 bit) OS: Windows (7,8,8.1,10),Linux (14.04 LTS),Mac OS X(10.10.5, 10.11.4) What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Launch chrome, open dev tools window and press Esc key to open console drawer. (2) Click on Search option from console drawer and observe. Actual: Default focus is not seen on search field after clicking on it. Expected: Default focus should seen on search field after clicking on it. This is a regression issue, broken in 'M-54', will soon update the other info:

Able to reproduce the issue on Windows 10, Mac 10.12.1 and Ubuntu 14.04 using latest stable #55.0.2883.75 but the same is not reproducible in the latest canary #57.0.2943.0 and latest dev #56.0.2924.18. Thanks for the info. The branch base commit position for M56 is 433059 which should include the mentioned CL. No need to merge, marking as fixed.
