MD settings: show side nav by default on wide screens

In the new MD settings the navigation drawer is hidden by default. Because of this using the drawer to switch to another header requires two clicks and some waiting. On most desktops there's ample room to just have it opened by default. This could still made to resemble MD design, but it prioritizes functionality on desktops
