Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/54.0.2832.2 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Install https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-art-project/akimgimeeoiognljlfchpbkpfbmeapkh 2. Allow it to override your new-tab page 3. activate md-settings 4. Visit chrome://settings What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? On the old settings page, you got a notification that the new-tab page setting is controlled by this extension. If you go to the md-settings page, this is no longer the case. Did this work before? Yes Before md-settings Chrome version: 54.0.2832.2 Channel: dev OS Version: Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Tested the issue on windows 7, Linux Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.11.6 using chrome version 54.0.2832.2 and latest canary 55.0.2844.0 with the below steps 1. Installed the extension https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-art-project/akimgimeeoiognljlfchpbkpfbmeapkh 2.Enabled the flags to activate md-settings 3.go to chrome://settings 4.Observed that the "new-tab page setting is controlled by this extension" is not there in page Considering this as non regression issue as this reproducible from M47..Marking it as Untriaged to get more inputs from dev team. Thanks,

ironically, I noticed the "controlled by extension" UI was only showing inside of windows /because I was working on md-settings/, and that's when I enabled it for other platforms. but yes, that specific UI hasn't been mocked or implemented for md-settings.

bettes@: how do you think we should communicate to users that the new tab page is being overridden by an extension?
