Network panel: show request size

Reported by oliverj...@gmail.com, Aug 26 2016

+paulirish, can I get your input on this. I am not sure where exactly this should fit. Maybe have it as a hover-over on the network timeline? And should we summarize it on the bottom like the response sizes?
Any update on this?

Both requests and responses have content-size header that show body sizes.
And what about the other issue which was merged into this issue?

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. open the devtools network panel
2. upload a file using html file upload

What is the expected behavior?
The size of the upload to be visible for the individual network request and also counted in the status bar transfer summary

What went wrong?
Upload sizes aren't displayed

The size of uploads can seriously affect both performance (and charges for data) for mobile users, something which Google has been advocating developers, why should this important information be hidden?
