Chromevox Find Broken

Reported by nimerjaber1@gmail.com, Aug 26 2016

Issue description

Mode: force_next
Version: 54.0.2837.0
Reproduction Steps:
1. Enable Chromevox Next
2. Perform Chromevox Find, and don't press anything... just allow Chromevox to talk.
3. Once it has announced the find and the other options on screen for the Chromevox panel, begin typing an item to find.
Expected: Chromevox will allow a user to type in the box. After a user presses enter or another keystroke, the content is found and focus is placed at the content, with an announcement alerting the user of what was found.
Actual: this is unreliable at best. Sometimes, I am unable to even type in the box at all. If chromevox is not in the find edit box, a user cannot type. Once Chromevox loses focus from the edit box, a user has no way to get focus back to the editable control. Therefore, a user would have no way of finding content short of exiting find and trying again.

Search+slash doesn't do anything at all with: 54.0.2837.0
Labels: Phase3 panel

I'm in 54.0.2837.0 and when I press search+/ the find in page option appears in the panel. But, I'm not able to type into it unless I click into it with the mouse.

It would also be helpful if cvox announced how many instances of that find there are on the page, but that's more of a nice to have.
