Reported by sl1pk...@gmail.com, Aug 24 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.8 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. download 54.0.2837.0 sources from https://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-official/chromium-54.0.2837.0.tar.xz
2. use GYP for build

What is the expected behavior?
start build (and build ok, i guess)

What went wrong?
fail build

Did this work before? Yes some version older

Chrome version: 54.0.2837.0 Channel: dev
OS Version:
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

Same! And am having no luck with GN either - very frustrating.

Comment 3 by sl1pk...@gmail.com, Aug 31 2016

It's my understanding that we no longer support GYP builds

+ dpranke
Correct, we don't support GYP any more.

What problem(s) are you having w/ GN?

Comment 6 by sl1pk...@gmail.com, Aug 31 2016

with GN can't disable gnome/gnome-keyring bloat stuff

Comment 7 Deleted

You can set arguments in GN to do the same thing.

Run `gn gen out/Default --args="use_gconf=false use_gio=false use_gnome_keyring=false"`.

There isn't an argument for linux_link_gnome_keyring, but if there was one for that in GYP I suspect it was removed a while ago (GYP doesn't have it nowadays either).
If there is any functionality that was in GYP that is missing in GN, we're mostly happy to add it. There are a few things that are intentionally different, or intentionally missing, but not many.

See comment #8 (i.e., yes it does).

i mean. in GYP can set:

        "-Duse_gnome_keyring=0"
        "-Dlinux_link_gnome_keyring=0"

in GN no exist this possibility

EDITED:

        "-Duse_gio=0"
        "-Duse_gconf=0"

have GN counterpart

EDIT2: damn I
