reveman@, is this something we're still interested in?

Yes, would be nice to get this done sometime soon.

tfiga@, would you like to do this or is it better that lpique@ or domlaskowski@ who are more familiar with wayland HWC take care of it?

Comment 5 by tfiga@chromium.org, Oct 30 2017

I'm afraid my knowledge of wayland_hwcomposer and respective components in Chrome became greatly out of sync lately, as I've been working on a bit different areas. Would appreciate if someone else took care of it. Thanks for heads up, though!

Assigning to reveman@ to judge who's the best person to do this.

Lloyd, do you think you might have time for this sometime soon? Not a huge rush but would be nice to remove the vsync protocol in the near future and we need to start using presentation timing protocol for other purposes.

I think I might be able to fit it in sometime in the next month or two, sure.

It could also be a good starter project for someone too.

I agree. Good starter project with some interesting follow up work to add support for ANDROID_get_frame_timestamps.
