Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.116 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. open developer tools > network and observe the "Frames" section of the server 2. send a bigger amount (e.g. 2MB) of Data via Websocket 3. data gets recieved on the server side, client still works, but the developer tools crash and is not responsive to any interaction What is the expected behavior? not crashing What went wrong? Developer Tools are not responding to any interactions, some of the (lightweight) messages received from the server might be shown, others not => random behavior; until the complete Developer toolbar might crash (Dialog with "Kill" / "Wait" Button) Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 52.0.2743.116 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

Can you give a demo? I tried with a echo websocket server with 5mb of data using: ws = new WebSocket("ws://localhost:8080/wsEcho"); ws.send("{\"data\":\"" + "a".repeat(5e+6) + "\"}"); and it is slow, but it works. The slowness is likely from the rendering of the 5mb of text.27.3 KB
