Custom Chrome tab closes unexpectedly with E/chromium: [ERROR:layer_tree_host_impl.cc(2233)] Forcing zero-copy tile initialization as worker context is missing

Project Member Reported by changjerry@google.com, Aug 22 2016

Issue description

Steps to reproduce the problem:
Currently implementing OAuth flow in Google Home App which does the authentication through Chrometab. For one of the authentication flows, Chrome closes unexpectedly with

com.android.chrome E/chromium: [ERROR:layer_tree_host_impl.cc(2233)] Forcing zero-copy tile initialization as worker context is missing

Whenever this occurs, a few lines below this in the logs there is always a lowmemorykiller log message.

E/lowmemorykiller: Error writing /proc/26236/oom_score_adj; errno=22

I can give steps to reproduce this issue along with a dev Google Home APK when someone starts working on this.

What is the expected behavior?
No crash

What went wrong?
After going through an authentication flow, Chrometab seems to have a native crash.
