overflow text inside flexbox isn't positioned correctly when using html columns

Reported by diamondo...@gmail.com, Aug 22 2016

Issue description

Chrome Version : Version 52.0.2743.116 (64-bit)
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
     Safari: FAIL 9.1.2
    Firefox: OK 48.1

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) minimal test-case here: http://codepen.io/anon/pen/GqaWGX

What is the expected result?
Check symbol should be centered within it's containing block because "justify-content: center; align-items: center"

What happens instead?
Checkbox is positioned incorrectly when it's at the end or beginning of a column.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

This is not related to <input type=checkbox>.

That's correct. The markup in the example doesn't even include a checkbox input.

My apologies for the misleading title. If someone knows how to change it go right ahead.
Out of curiosity, is there a reason why you're using flexbox to position an inline instead of just using vertical-align: center; text-align: center;?

cc'ing Morten as this is a multicol issue and does look like a bug at first sight.
