choppy audio after pause / resume tab casting |
||||||
Issue descriptionVersion: 52 (home system, forgot to grab chrome://version, sorry) OS: win7 What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Play video (i used amazon prime video, didn't try others) (2) Start tab casting <-- everything works great (3) Pause video (4) Resume playback <-- audio on the tv becomes very choppy What is the expected output? Good audio. What do you see instead? Recognizable, but very choppy audio. regular pattern of audio glitches at about 2-4x per second. repros on ~90% of attempts. Prior to 52, i didn't see this behavior. Doesn't matter whether video is paused or not before step 2. Video playback is always fine. don't know if it's relevant, but prior to 52, i had a lot of trouble reconnecting tab casting to this device. The first attempt would work almost always. If i stopped and re-started casting, it took ~5 attempts before it connected to the device correctly. With 52, connections are flawless (thanks!).

Finally got around to this. Casted the "SpongeBob Movie" (quite a show let me tell you) and paused/resumed multiple times, didn't notice any specific issues with connectivity or audio. If this is still happening for you, please do file feedback (right click on the toolbar icon and Report an Issue) and ping this issue. Thanks!

Re-opening, as we've had other reports of this problem (happened to myself once, dbbrooks a few times). liberato: If you encounter this again, please right-click on the Cast icon in the browser toolbar and send feedback so we can examine packet logs.
