Search tab doesn't search selected text

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.116 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open any page with text 2. Select any text with your mouse 3. Press CTRL+F or F3 What is the expected behavior? Selected text will be in search tab and search will be start immediately Selected text WON'T be copied to clipboard What went wrong? 1. When press CTRL+F: Search tab will take focus, but in it's input will be old text. If you want to find new text you will need to copy selected text and then paste it in search tab and then press enter 2. When press F3: Select on text will disappear Search tab will take focus, but in it's input will be old text. If you want to find new text you will need to select text again, then copy selected text and then paste it in search tab and then press enter Did this work before? Yes About a half year ago Chrome version: 52.0.2743.116 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

Sounds like more of a feature request or requested behavior change. Current behavior is that, Ctrl+F restores the previous search text in the search tab. |
