Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/50.0 Steps to reproduce the problem: So, as the title say's: There some edge cases where you cannot see a response content from a XHR request when you reload the page immediatly after the request has been finished. This problem only occur when you try to view the request after the page have been reloaded. If you open the ajax request before the page reloads than you can see the content. I've added a animated gif and a test html file (need to run on a local server for the ajax request). What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? You cannot see a response content from a XHR request when you reload the page immediatly after the request has been finished. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 52.0.2743.116 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

I believe this was caused by some recent changes made by the loading team to recycle the page process if possible which preserves cache and other things.

I think this has always been so and this is so by design -- we can't keep content from all resources page ever loaded and we've chosen to discard everything not related to current page instance upon navigation or reload.

We've had another discussion and, looking at the number of stars of a similar issue 141129 , decided that it needs to be addressed. |
