Regression: Weird behaviour of history page is seen upon midclick on history link in chrome://history/syncedTabs.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1)Signin to chrome with valid credentials>>Navigate to chrome://history/syncedTabs page>> Now mid click on history link present in synced tabs page and Observe the history page opened in new tab.(Please refer video)

Expected: History page should be displayed properly.
Actual:Instead firstly a blink of checkbox & cursor is seen and then weird history page is seen.

This is Regression issue broken in M-52.
Unable to do tool bisect as issue is seen only after signing into chrome which can't be done in chromium builds.

Able to reproduce the issue on Mac OS 10.11.6 using chrome latest Dev M54-54.0.2831.0 as well.

By weird history page you mean missing date in the top bar of the card? Because that's the only thing that looks off to me - seems like some forgotten initialization call.

The CL you mentioned landed 3 and half months ago and only added metrics, so I'm fairly confident that it's unrelated.

Passing to tsergeant@ to please triage.
