Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.116 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Visit https://accounts.google.com/. 2. Enter your username and your password. 3. Press enter. What is the expected behavior? Welcome message and my Google account settings displayed in the same tab where I entered my password. What went wrong? Sometimes, after I enter my password and I press enter, a new window opens with the welcome message from Google. In the old window, tab where I entered the password remains open. It's quite disturbing. This only happens when I sign into my Google account. Signing into Twitter or Reddit, for example, doesn't trigger the opening of a new window. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 52.0.2743.116 Channel: stable OS Version: Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

I use Ubuntu 16.04. I don't remember if I encountered the same problem on Ubuntu 15.10. I didn't try your recommendation just because the opening of a new window is pretty random so I may try 20 times or even more and nothing will happen. I found users reporting the same problem a couple of years ago on Google Chrome forums.
