Issue descriptionVersion: 53.0.2785.47 dev (64-bit) Platform: 8530.43.0 (Official Build) dev-channel cyan Device: Acer Chromebook R11 C738T Steps to reproduce: (1) Plug an external display into the HDMI port of the Chromebook (2) Build, install, and run the attached app Expected result: the CommonsWare home page to be shown on the external display Actual result: the Android app is oblivious to the external display, which shows whatever Chrome OS would normally show (extended desktop or mirror) If you try this app on an HDMI-equipped Android device (e.g., Nexus 10), the external display works fine. If this is WAI (Android's MediaRouter subsystem should not have access to external displays), then it should be documented. Thanks!

The MediaRouter API has been supported since M62, though the Presentation API currently has a bug where the presentation dialog fails to be displayed in some cases. This is tracked internally as b/67645409 and should be fixed in the next milestone. |
