Can't navigate forward using Shift and the backspace key

Reported by mr.ber...@gmail.com, Aug 16 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.116 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
Pretty much a duplicate of Issue 608016 , but this is one is locked. The extension proposed (https://goo.gl/L30YZ7) should support Shift-Backspace.
https://goo.gl/NXSAe7 does.

What is the expected behavior?
Shift-Backspace goes forward.

What went wrong?
Shift-Backspace does nothing (without extension) or goes back (with extension).

Did this work before? Yes

Chrome version: 52.0.2743.116 Channel: stable
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

@mr.berker: Tested the same using 2 Webstore Links provided and observed the below.

1st Link - (https://goo.gl/L30YZ7) => Shift+Backspace is navigating back.
2nd Link - (https://goo.gl/NXSAe7) => Shift+Backspace is not navigating back, instead stays in the same page.

Screen-recording is attached.

@pkasting/ojan: Could you please provide your inputs here.

Thank you.

rnimmagadda: I agree with your findings about the 1st extension. Going back with shift-backspace is the bug.

Regarding the 2nd extension. Maybe I misunderstand your video, but in my opinion you try shift-backspace only when there is no page in the page history to navigate FORWARD to. So yes, the 2nd extension stays on the same page, but this is expected because it CANNOT go forward. If there is a page to navigate FORWARD to, it does go forward.
confirmed. same here.
