Unable to save MP3 file |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionVersion: 54.0.2826.2 OS: Android MMB29K What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Visit any song page on wapking.com, e.g., http://wapking.site/fileDownload/157170/desi_superman_-_raul_ft._jsl_singh.html (2) Click on link to download MP3 -- e.g., "128 KBPS" link (not any of the other spammy fake-download-ad links) What is the expected output? There should be the ability to download the MP3 file, not just play it back. What do you see instead? The media playback UI shows and the song starts playing. There is no option for saving the file.

Kingston@ do you know why the hold-press action generates a save video vs. save audio command?

Is there an existing bug to dup this against for the new download icon?

Yes, we're tracking this bug as part of the broader scalable media controls effort. (this mp4 bug is something that we've been wanting to fix for a while. right now another way to download it is to long-press the link and click "Save link"). I've filed https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=638374 for the "Save audio" vs. "Save video" bug. |
