Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:37.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/37.0 Example URL: https://www.twitch.tv/streamerhouse Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open the Twitch.tv livestream and have it play 2. Middle-click open-in-new-tab the 'Games' link on the left-hand side 3. Witness the stream in the current tab stuttering for a few seconds What is the expected behavior? The link is opened in a new tab What went wrong? As the new tab is loading, the current tab gets a performance hit Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? Yes Possibly before Chromium 45 Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 52.0.2743.116 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0 Scrolling up and down any webpage makes the performance hit noticeable. Very noticeable with any video stream.

Unable to reproduce the issue on Windows using chrome latest stable M52-52.0.2743.116 by following steps mentioned in the original comment. Observed no performance issue while checking this issue. kronnnoc@ - Are you observing the same issue on incognito mode as well? Could you please recheck this issue by creating a new profile with out any apps or extensions in your browser.
