Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.116 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. use left hand ring finger to press "alt" 2. use left hand thumb finger to press "left arrow" What is the expected behavior? navigate back page What went wrong? Dear Chrome designers: if you think using "backspace" key to go back is a bad legacy human interface design, fine. but please replace that legacy design with a better design, and NOT replace it with a worse design. The use case is that users usually use right hand to hold mouse; and use left hand to control keyboard shortcuts. while it may be easy for a big white man's left hand, for me an average-size right-handed Asian man, "alt" + "left arrow" keys combination is difficult to press, too troublesome for a frequently used function. The left ring finger is well trained to move swiftly for us. Please redesign. I do not think you have thought it through. Please also add a flag in advanced options to allow backspace key before you redesign this function. Did this work before? No Chrome version: 52.0.2743.116 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

Google has released a Chrome extension called "Go Back With Backspace" that re-enables this behaviour; as I recall, moving this functionality to an extension was the generally accepted solution when the feature was removed. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/go-back-with-backspace/eekailopagacbcdloonjhbiecobagjci
