@fs and foolip, as per discussion in http://crbug.com/636285 , should we follow the same approach here as well, or is it safe enough to do it straightforward similar to media tests?
I think focus/priority should be to convert tests that can be upstreamed (i.e, tests spec assertions rather than implementation details and regressions.) I think that's close enough to foolip's comment in issue 636285 . As such, svg/dom is probably a good starting point.
A good exercise might be to attempt upstreaming some of the already converted tests, to get a feel for what the hard bits are, and what kinds of tests end up being more trouble than it's worth.
This issue has been Available for over a year. If it's no longer important or seems unlikely to be fixed, please consider closing it out. If it is important, please re-triage the issue.
