Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.116 Safari/537.36 Example URL: Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open the file from the attachment. 2. 3. What is the expected behavior? Chrome should render the text with font family AvantGarde. What went wrong? Chrome rendered the page with some Times fonts. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 52.0.2743.116 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.3 Flash Version: I add a List of my installed fonts in reg_fonts.txt created with reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts" >reg_fonts.txt Same issue with Version 54 As a workaround we use the Option -no-directwrite but the gap between letters looks ugly. I saw you want close this option with https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=579678. Do you fix this issue?

Does anybody from the chromium team knows, how long it takes that somebody looks at this issue?

You'll need to specify the font family and the variant separately instead of of coalescing it all into the name. font-family: AvantGarde; font-stretch: condensed; font-weight: 300; For common suffixes we detect this and set the stretch/width/weight as appropriate but that doesn't work in cases like this with multiple non-standard suffixes.

I tested it with the same Version like above, but it is the same Font, some Times and not AvantGarde Does the solution with font-stretch and font-weight, solves this Problem with or without direct-write? I tested it with the standard Chrome Browser. And it is important, that it works with the newer version. What does it mean won't fix, You don't fix it with this new feature "direct-write" or with the old GDI?

Why you don't copy the standard suffixes from IE or Firefox works pretty nice there? |
