Cannot type with Chinese IME

Reported by liangq.k...@gmail.com, Aug 11 2016

Issue description

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Open any website using Canary
(2) switch to Chinese IME in Windows 10 (the default IME)
(3) double check to make sure it's in Chinese mode as opposed to English mode

What is the expected result?
Chinese IME will kick in as soon as I start typing

What happens instead?
Still English

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.

Version: 54.0.2823.0

I've encountered the same issue a few days ago. But, as of the current latest version of Canary (54.0.2825.0), the issue seems have been resolved. I suggest you to update Canary, try again and report back.
Thanks!

I cannot repro this on 54.0.2832.2 canary (64-bit).

I tried various cases:
 - US keyboard, focus omnibox, switch to Pinyin IME.
 - US keyboard, focus web input field, switch to Pinyin IME.
 - Pinyin IME, focus omnibox.
 - Pinyin IME, focus web input field.
 - Tried to set Chrome locale to both English (US) and Chinese Simplified.

What system language is configured on your Windows machine? If it is none of "Chinese", "Japanese" and "Korean", then this could be a duplicate of Issue 344834 .

Does this still repro? Can someone from test please confirm it and either close it or mark it as such pretty please?
