Unable to reproduce the issue on Windows-10 using chrome latest canary M54-54.0.2825.0. Observed the Netflix videos are able to play fine without any issues.

julie@ - Are you seeing the same issue on incognito mode? If no, Could you please recheck this issue by creating a new profile under chrome://settings with no apps or extensions in your browser.
Thanks so much for your response. Tonight, when I watch Stranger Things on
Netflix, I will try incognito mode and see if it happens. Will let you know,
thank you.

Thanks for taking the time to file a bug! It sounds like this may not be an issue specific to Settings, so removing those labels.

update: still happening...I am watching a TV show on xfinity. I can now
watch a show on video on xfinity (haven't tried on netflix yet) but when I
expand the window to take up the entire screen (using google canary) the
entire computer screen goes white/grey and I can't see anything. Thank you
