download not return error, but bad size

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.46 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: Issue 582799 , another time, my download is displayed finish (no error). But when launch exe file, it's say is corrupt. after check, file is not complete. 8,16Mo but requested file is 8,8Mo after retry download, it's good. can't make netinternals because can't reproduce. Please investigate, because when download file, chrome know file size! Why not report incomplete download? What is the expected behavior? chrome must retry to download end of file if it's possible or restart download or report incomplete download... What went wrong? chrome finish download same as successfull, but file is corrupt and size not good. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 53.0.2785.46 Channel: beta OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0 How can you manage download with PAUSE/RESUME if you can't check if download is interrupted (by internet connection or server before end)

Issue with Chrome; when download start Chrome display in the bottom the file size = server return size and chrome must display error if download file is not full. http://www.xmedia-recode.de/download/XMediaRecode3335_setup.exe fist time I download it, file is corrupt and no error in chrome but size not same as displayed by Chrome when download start. After retry, it's ok, and can't reproduce.

another time problem, now with https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/jba206ww.exe file downloaded without error, but size not correct; only 41MB / 315MB... export net-internals not work, just display 'preparing data...' perhaps too data. I use wifi, unstable this day, and can reproduce. Can see below netinternals.7z more copy/paste and see error in URL_REQUEST t=112889 [st=79901] HTTP_TRANSACTION_READ_BODY [dt=55] --> net_error = -354 (ERR_CONTENT_LENGTH_MISMATCH) t=112944 [st=79956] FAILED --> net_error = -354 (ERR_CONTENT_LENGTH_MISMATCH) t=112945 [st=79957] -REQUEST_ALIVE --> net_error = -354 (ERR_CONTENT_LENGTH_MISMATCH)

Currently content-length mismatches are not considered a failure due to many sites not reporting the content-length correctly. |
