cant made upgrade

THIS TEMPLATE IS FOR FILING BUGS ON THE ANDROID SYSTEM WEBVIEW. GENERAL WEB
BUGS SHOULD BE FILED USING A DIFFERENT TEMPLATE!

Device name: ALE-L21 (huawei P8 lite)
Android version:5.0.1
WebView version (from system settings -> Apps -> Android System WebView): 45.0'2454.95
Application: must upgrade 3 apps but can´t
Application version. I have some screen shot

URLs (if applicable): no



Steps to reproduce:
(1) cant upgrade androïd system web view and Chrome, or in playstore i have the information to made upgrade.

Expected result:upgrade of the apps cantbe made, and wen launch, they stop and shut donw the playstore


Actual result: no upgrade

that's huawei's problem, they shipped a webview they built themsev.es, which prevents play store from updating over it

Well, to be more specific: in the issue we already know about there are two versions of the webview on the device: the correct one that can be updated just fine but is *never used* by apps and so updating it is pointless, and Huawei's custom one that has no updates and is what actually gets used.

If the updates won't install in the first place, that's a different problem - is Facebook a preinstalled app on that device? If so then it's possible huawei have preloaded these apps in a resigned or otherwise broken state, and if so then your device is just never going to be able to update them without getting an OTA update first to fix the broken versions in the system image.

Not a webview/chrome bug in any case, I'm afraid - we can't do anything about this.
