Network hacked. Chromebook audit said to report this as it is always a coding error

Reported by corinaau...@gmail.com, Aug 10 2016

Issue description

Chrome Version

Chromebook #2

Version 52.0.2743.116 (64-bit)
Platform 8350.68.0 (Official Build) stable-channel kip
Firmware Google_Kip.5216.227.58

What steps will reproduce the problem?
This is a HP 14 ak013dx. It should be on stable channel and not chromium, I have been posting in the forum asking questions because I have been hacked multiple times on android, and when I set this book up I became concerned with settings and apps keep reinstalling on their own.

(1) log analyser run after possible network hack caused os corruption or arp cache poisoning. Auditing this device as my newest chromebook (same model) identified a problem in the log analyser and a bug report was submitted this morning. I bought the same make and model in order to generate a recovery usb, and also compare settings.

( See also https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=636015 ) I power washed this device 6 times and did an os recovery approximately 2 hours ago. This log was just generated after chrome recovery utility had run and device and all settings reset. This was the forum post my employee posted about this device on the chromebook forum.

What is the expected result? I am safe and not hacked. Nothing bad should be left??

What happens instead? chrome log analyser told me to report this debug log as it was 'always a coding bug'

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible. Will do.

I use google hangouts every workday. My screen will randomly display big random white dots that are not hardware related (I believe) as the last 3 chromebooks did it too. Prior to google moving hangouts off their servers and making it p2p, I would get authentication error I believe due to being hacked on my android phone via stagefright mms bug via text or google hangouts

PLEASE NOTE: I have never done anything to customize the device myself or used dev mode to add or remove features. My Android devices have been relentlessly hacked, Windows computers hacked and I even broke down and bought a mac which was hacked. This chromebook had glaring issues and when I finally went into crosh and audited settings it said it was on canary channel and powerwash was set to no. I didn't know how to change it other that reset, powerwash, or usb recovery. NONE of the OS Dev warnings ever came up- But it wasnt switching channels. I don't know how corrupted it is now..

I would just like a secure device. I really just want to be able to work.

Please see also our attempt on bringing up these issues specific to this device on the forum in july: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!msg/chromebook-central/jRB1L33DwCY/K4hFLvKYBQAJ

Thank you so very very much! I have been living in hell with being hacked on my phones and pcs and I am so hopeful this is something that can be rectified.

I am not sure where I found the setting, android or Chromebook, think it was in android... but I noticed that the device was set to connect only to 2.4 ghz, I changed it to 5MHz yesterday.

This morning this is all I could see for a while and I couldnt connect to my wireless. Notice the strength setting of xfinitywifi. This is a new router, and Xfinity no longer creates the Xfinity open Wi-Fi on at least my model of my home router. I confirmed that with their customer service when I got the router 2 weeks ago. I also went on the internet and logged in to check to make sure it had been turned off and that's where it said they no longer do that for home users.

Netgear and xfinity wife are maddening to me and i don't ever intentionally connect to them. but the open wifi are usually at the top of the list, and several times, when I click my router, the open router jumps in and takes its place, chromebook tries to connect before I can stop it. it seems intentional, nefariously speaking.. feature request; allow us to block all open wifi networks.

SO what this looks like is custom malware syncing from my device to the 5 megahertz channel on my router courtesy of my device settings in my Google account [maybe] I have attached a screenshot of what I could see and I will generate device logs for this new Acer Chromebook which I am on right now . I will upload those within the hour if I get an error. Thank you.

Also I tried to do a power wash of 425-760-2209, someone has recently loaded a power wash code required to the sim card that I don't know the answer to. Could this be why ALL my chrome books won't power wash TOO?

I had the phone connected to Samsung previously in order to try to protect my sim card, when blue tooth malware off the android crashed a password and sim protected galaxy 6 and HP Chromebook #2.

I changed my Samsung password , and was notification a day later that someone had tried to login to my Samsung account like 15 times so I didn't reconnect to it. I logged into Samsung last night and it said I had registered 8 devices, I DID NOT DO THAT.. 3 I was not able to remove.

You can change a bunch of settings in Samsung and maybe that's why android device manager said I had 20 devices... Samsung device setting are propagating to my accounts. If someone evil added their phone with malware type settings I think it goes every phone logged into the user account and I mein that was there..... I had Samsung totally delete the corina.wilson account.

I've been working 16 hour days on this so I apologize if im repeating anything. im tired.. but my Google accounts are mrscleannw, corina.wilson, mrscleannwadmin, mrscleannwoffice, and last is corina.aurdal. I think the last account fixed things until I logged into my 'real' accounts. I will run Acer chrome book next, then there's 3 or 4 other chrome books ill check.

This is a chrome book log with the same issue 604815 . I loaded the acer log 637445. Have one of the toshibas I am working on now.
Please note, I'm still going through the hacked router. No use getting new router hardware from comcast until I get the hacked chromebook logs uploaded, and hopefully malware removed.
