Visiting chrome://resources/js/ crashes everything

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.116 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Enter "chrome://resources/js/" in address bar
2. Press "Enter"
3. Notice you desktop background as Chrome just disapears

What is the expected behavior?
Not crash.
Possibly show error.
Preferably enable directory listing of internal chrome files.

What went wrong?
Chrome crashed hard.

Crashed report ID: none get generated even though crash report enabled

How much crashed? Whole browser

Is it a problem with a plugin? No 

Did this work before? N/A 

Chrome version: 52.0.2743.116  Channel: stable
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

I have the Anniversary Update on my Win10.

Does not crash with this setup:
OS X El Capitan (version 10.11.6)
Chrome version: 51.0.2704.103

Status: Duplicate (was: Unconfirmed)
Stack trace looks similar to  Issue 615847 , hence merging into that. Works fine on 53.0.2785.46(latest beta).
