Right Click > Inspect points to wrong element

Issue description

Chrome Version       : 52.0.2743.116 (64-bit)
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
  Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you
have tested this issue:
     Safari:
    Firefox:
         IE:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Open Google Chrome on ChromeOS on Google Pixel 2 LS
(2) Open www.google.com
(3) Right Click 'Google Search' button
(4) Select 'Inspect'
(5) Div ID 'lga' is selected (The main banner/hero image/video)

What is the expected result?

(1) Search button should be selected

What happens instead?

(1) Incorrect element is selected

Just checking in 1 month later to add that this bug is still present. I've tried turning off various extensions, but that hasn't solved the issue. Rebooting doesn't solve it either.

Hi ryanphjohnson@, thank you for the report.  Sorry about replying so late, it's good that you reminded me.

I was not able to reproduce this bug on a Chromebook daisy running 52.0.2743.85, even after trying all the possible display resolutions.  We've had a similar issue happen relatively recently, that affected 52, but should be fixed on 53.

Could you please let me know:
- Was this working on Chrome 51?
- Is the behavior correct on native resolution (2560x1700)?
- Does this bug occur on all display resolutions?  (you can go to settings > display settings to change them)

If this only happens on non-native resolutions, it's likely that this is a duplicate bug that will be fixed when M53 is released.
Wow, I never messed with the display settings before. I was set to 1280x850 (Best). Switching it to 2560x1700 (Native) fixed the issue. Thanks for the help!
