Enable customizing the keyboard accessory bar |
||
Issue descriptionSome chat applications will autocomplete users' names into the keyboard accessory bar. Ideally we'd allow customizing the suggestions in the accessory bar. We should at least allow hiding it.

As for the hiding option, I thought that we respect autocomplete=off by setting EditorInfo.TYPE_TEXT_FLAG_NO_SUGGESTIONS in ImeUtils#computeEditorInfo(), but we are not, which seems like a regression.

We haven't done any due diligence on the Android APIs to propose a web platform API as of yet. Customizing the keyboard for content editable is higher priority than this right now. |
