automatic copy of selected text is broken in beta

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select some text
2. Try to paste the previously selected text with mouse middle button
3. Fail
4. Try this with Chrome Stable
5. Works fine
 
What is the expected result?
Paste previously selected text

What happens instead of that?
Selection does not get copied. If I do Ctrl+c text get copied.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

This is happening in linux (Ubuntu trusty 14.04.1 local variant)

Text selected in the search box (url box) is copied to the clipboard, but text selected in the renderer (web page body) is not, unless ctrl-c is hit.

Text inside an edit box in a web page is copied automatically to the clipboard.  Text outside an edit box is not copied automatically to the clipboard.

I believe this may be the "primary selection" we are talking about, not the clipboard - the one that is pasted by hitting the middle button on linux.  The actual clipboard, pasted with ctrl-v, is only set if ctrl-c is used, in all parts of the browser.

Setting as confirmed, even though I am not in the Chromium PA anymore.
