Rename "Copy link text" to "Copy text" in context menu

Project Member Reported by mgiuca@chromium.org, Aug 4 2016

Issue description

Version: 54
OS: Android

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Long-press on a link.

What is the expected output?
Menu includes "Copy link address" and "Copy text".

What do you see instead?
Menu includes "Copy link address" and "Copy link text".

I feel like "link text" is a bit ambiguous and a bit too similar to "link address". ("link text" may be misunderstood as the URL itself, as opposed to the visible text.) It could also be misread as just "copy link" when you meant to copy the URL.

I think we've just erred on the side of being explicit because linked images can be quite hefty in options (https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1zj2eJiE7Dd9OtgbE5wvW6P7Gz8hVw7hOoJCQ2NRnFXk/edit#slide=id.gbc32f2142_0_6)

I'd be fine changing this to be "Copy text" though. Simpler is always better!

+ktam to see if he agrees and wants to triage.
Not sure what you mean by "linked images can be quite hefty in options".

The context of why this came up was that my brother pasted me a URL that had been abbreviated with a "..." and was therefore useless. The link he'd copied it from had elided the URL in the link text, but the full URL in the link href, and he'd just long-pressed and chosen "Copy link text" (not really reading carefully).

I think it would have been clearer if the "correct" option (in this case) had the word "link" in it, but the other option did not.

"Quite hefty" meaning there were more than a dozen options for linked images (see that image I linked to), so probably distinguishing text and url copying was to help with that. Doesn't necessarily mean we need to stick with it though.

Comment 4 by k...@chromium.org, Aug 8 2016

I think that's a fair concern. I'm OK with changing it to "Copy text" since we're implicitly operating on the link.

Would it be worth doing a pass on the context menu strings themselves, e.g.:

+ Open in incognito tab
+ Copy URL (not sure why we have "Copy image URL" yet "Copy link address")
+ Copy text
+ Save page(?)

Totally open to text updates.

+bbergher would you want to take that on as the first pass to context menus? It could be phase V1 of your deck proposal:

ktam@ thought you'd be interested, but no pressure either way.

If there's agreement on "Copy text", can I go ahead and do that without waiting for a redesign?

Comment 7 by rolfe@chromium.org, Aug 9 2016

Well around these parts we like to complicate our problems... : ) It would be nice to update everything in one fell swoop but admittedly that would take a bit longer. It's OK with me to update the copy text if that helps with feeling like swift justice was done.

ktam@ - same for you?

Removing myself and sympathizing with mgiuca. The new content menu should be out soon though!

Chrome on Mac just uses "Copy". Chrome on Linux doesn't have this yet, but should: crbug/268114
