Version: trunk
OS: All
What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) acquire Brother MFCL2740DW
(2) set up google cloud print
(3) print a multi-page document
What is the expected output?
The printer should warm up, print all pages (~ 3 sec per page),
then cool down.
This is what I see with this printer if set up as a local printer.
What do you see instead?
The printer warms up, prints a single page, cools down, then repeats.
The resulting speed is 30-45 sec per page.
I've tried both WiFi and ethernet connection and printed tiny documents,
so the connection speed is not the reason.
After several iteration with the Brother customer support I've got this:
>> That is normal print speeds when printing from Google cloud to a Brother machine.
Similar problem has been discussed here:
https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chromebook-central/eqdLVoaIKA0;context-place=forum/chromebook-central
I believe that this is a bug in the Brother's implementation of Cloud Print, but such poor implementation undermines the entire idea of Cloud Print.
