Just encountered no audio on this URL

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMq3nHMq2zk

Tried viewing this video in incognito mode. No luck. No issues when viewing the video on Safari.

Refreshing the page did not help either. No extensions are enabled.

Unable to reproduce the issue on Mac OS 10.11.6 using chrome latest stable M52-52.0.2743.116. Observed by playing the youtube video able to hear audio with out any issues.

Could you please follow the below steps to resolve common issues with Chrome:
1.Check for malware as unwanted programs can interfere with Chrome. Try our helpful Software Removal Tool to check for malware (Windows only). https://www.google.com/chrome/cleanup-tool/
2.Double check to make sure you don’t have any unfamiliar plugins installed on Chrome. Type chrome://plugins into your address bar and disable any sound related plugins.
3.View the same web pages in Chrome Beta or Chrome Canary and see if you still run into the same sound issue.
4.Try uninstalling Chrome and reinstalling the latest version of Chrome.
5.If you’re using an antivirus or firewall software, make sure Chrome is trusted or allowed by these programs. You can also try temporarily disabling your antivirus or firewall to see if this resolves the issue.

Thanks.

Hello!

I have a similar case, no audio on YouTube nor Google Play on a MAC.

- Steps to reproduce
1. Open Chrome
2. Go to YouTube or Google Play Music
3. Try to reproduce a video or an audio
4. No Audio at all

Chrome version: 52.0.2743.82 Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.11.6

Troubleshooting:
1. Check for malware, incognito, no extensions enabled
2. At chrome://plugins I have: Adobe Flash Player - Version: 22.0.0.209 enabled, I disabled it and re-enabled it.
3. Tried Chrome Canary.
4. Tried uninstalling Chrome and reinstalling the latest version of Chrome.
5. On Safari the sound is OK
6. Disabled GPU

Do you have any idea what might be causing only these 2 pages (YouTube and Google Play) not playing any audio, video is fine.

Thank you!
I have recently uninstalled (full), no extensions or plugins. The problem keeps popping up now and again.

Could you please upgrade your chrome to latest version and let us know which adobe flash version is currently available in your machine.
Moreover please update your audio drivers and make sure that audio settings is marked as stereo by default navigating to (Control Panel -> Sound settings --> Stereo).

@brajkumar Thank you for the reply.

- The latest version of Chrome is 52, which is the one I have.
- The issue is on a MAC, I cannot go to Control panel, but I did checked the sound settings, as mentioned this happens only on YouTube and Google Play Music.
I have the same bug. Google play and youtube, exactly, also a mac...
I have the same bug.
Chrome 53 64bit, windows 10. Any other browser on the same youtube video works well. The videos are both HTML 5 and flash.
Seems that the bug comes randomly on some videos.
For example I can't listen the audio on this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipNxCf2CH8s
Today the problem returned. Random behaviour -- no audio in facebook videos, periscope and youtube.
So, I removed Chrome from my computer. Everything. App from Applications folder, Cache, from ~/library basically everything.

Reinstalled (Version 53.0.2785.101 64-bit). No luck. No audio in periscope -- this particular video (https://www.periscope.tv/ScottAdamsSays/1jMJgrPDNVeGL). No audio here too (https://www.periscope.tv/JBONAMASSA/1mnxenLyEZrKX)

No audio in youtube -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zh4n1bZi4d8 . I play other videos, but when I return to this specific video, no audio.

There are no plugins or extensions except ones from google -- Google Docs, Google Docs Offline, Google Sheets, Google Slides.
