I'm still having Aw Snap crashes on Canary Version 54.0.2813.0 canary (64-bit) on OSX 10.12. To reproduce, go here: http://floooh.github.io/virtualkc/, and play around a bit with the emulator (press TAB to open and close the debugging overlay, after a few seconds the tab crashes).

Thanks for taking the time to file a bug! It sounds like this may not be an issue specific to Settings, so to make sure it is addressed please file a feedback report through the Chrome menu: "Help > Report an issue"

I have opened a new issue for my specific crash, it seems to be unrelated to the recent general stability of Chrome on Windows: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=633497 |
