Feature Request: interactive, user-triggered extension updates

Reported by reginald...@gmail.com, Jul 29 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.82 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. attempt to see whether or not your chrome extensions are updating
2. realize that chrome offers no way to observe or control the updating one's browser extensions

What is the expected behavior?
can we have something like what firefox has?

example:

chrome finds extension update
asks "would you like to update?"
user clicks Yes
user gets a pretty horizontal progress bar showing how far along the update is [per extension, obviously]

What went wrong?
chrome offers no way to observe or control the updating one's browser extensions

WebStore page: N/A

Did this work before? No

Chrome version: 52.0.2743.82 Channel: n/a
OS Version: 4.6.4-301 x86_64
Flash Version:

thank U
