google analytics extension crashes and no pages will load

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) open chrome on mac os x 10.12 public beta 2
(2) 
(3) 

What is the expected result?
opens up tab to google.com

What happens instead?
notification that google analytics extension crashed and no pages will load in current tab or new tab

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible.
