Theme is not rendering properly

Issue description

OS : MAC 10.11.6,Win 7 & Ubuntu 14.04
Chrome version : 53.0.2785.34

Theme url : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/winter-is-coming/dlpfhmmnockjemkghojdaofnfifklfja

steps:
1) Navigate to chrome and install"Winter is coming" theme.
2) Open NTP
3) Press ⌘--(Mac) or Ctrl--(Win/Linux)
4) Observe the theme and Google on the NTP

Expect:
The theme should cover the full page and Google should be visible.

Actual:
The theme is not covered full to the page and Google is not visible.

Please find the Screen cast for the same.

This is a non-regression issue since 34.0.1752.0.

The reason why the Google is not visible is because the logo is in white so as the background color. You can change the manifest.json file in the theme package making the "ntp_logo_alternate" : 0 to make the logo colorful so that you can see it even on the blank background. You can also try to change the background image to a higher resolution image so that it can fill up the whole screen. Even, you can set the "ntp_background_repeat" : "repeat". In that case, if the background image is not large enough, the browser will make it repeated horizontally and vertically for you.
