Regression: Crash is seen on playing ogv video in daisy and blaze of 54.0.2809.0/8644.0.0

Project Member Reported by sc00335...@techmahindra.com, Jul 28 2016

Issue description

Version: 54.0.2809.0/8644.0.0 (Official Build) dev-channel daisy,blaze
OS: Chrome os

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Sign in to user and play any ogv file. [Navigate to http://techslides.com/demos/sample-videos/small.ogv or Download attached video]
(2) Try playing attached video and observe default media player in Chrome.

Expected: Tab should not crash on playing ogv file or downloaded ogv file should be played in default media player.
Actual: Instead crash is seen and media player closes immediately.

This is a regression issue as it is working fine in 52.0.2743.85/8350.60.0 stable channel daisy.

NOTE: Issue is not seen with same version of Peppy.

@fukino: Please confirm the issue.

Is this reproducible with other video formats?

Do we see this issue with YouTube and Vimeo players?
As per #3, doesn't seem to be an issue with Media Player.
Strange file to crash on. Could be ffmpeg bug on all platforms. Is this reproducible anywhere else?

I don't see the render crash while playing videos on youtube, Vimeo.

No render crash on MP4/webm video from the following sites :

Thanks Song for verification!
Status: WontFix (was: Assigned)
Using daisy, I was able to reproduce this issue with 54.0.2809.0/8644.0.0 (reported version), but it didn't reproduce 54.0.2826.0/8705.0.0
It seems the issue was fixed between these two versions.

Let me mark this bug as WontFix.
