Issue descriptionChrome Version: 54.0.2809.0 (Official Build)12fd360cfa20b6ca7784225e58bf10647b721002-refs/heads/master@{#408012} 32/64-bit. OS: Windows (7,8,10), Mac (10.10.5, 10.11.5), Linux (Ubuntu 14.04 LTS). Steps: 1. Launch chrome and navigate to chrome://md-settings. 2. Enter some text in search field. (Eg. "gh") 3. Observe. Actual : Results of MD settings are seen even though entered text is not matching. Expected: "No matches were found" message should be displayed. This is a regression issue broken in 'M-54' and will soon update other info.

There are actually matches in sub-elements of the displayed sections. They are not visible because user needs to navigate further to find the matches (see for example matches for 'gh' in attached screenshot). The searching algorithm is still being tuned. For example searching dropdown lists is still being considered. Please don't file regression bugs against searching, until it is considered implemented (https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=608535). |
