Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Lauch Chrome
2. Crashed Thread: 24  Chrome_HistoryThread  Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)

What is the expected behavior?
Stable working browser

What went wrong?
Browser crashed

Crashed report ID: no

How much crashed? Whole browser

Is it a problem with a plugin? No 

Did this work before? Yes prior to 51.0.2704.103 (2704.103)

Chrome version: 51.0.2704.106 (2704.106)  Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.11
Flash Version: Peppermint

Tried disabling plugins via editing settings (/Users/<user>/Library/Application\ Support/Google/Chrome/Default/Preferences) according to another issue i found in the webs and deleted all my history. That seemed to help for some time (since 19 Jul). Browser worked almost fine for a while (only rare crashes during normal work). Nothing of that helps now.

Seems related to the history favicon database. 

Can you try closing Chrome, moving these files to the desktop, and re-launching?
