This is related to https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=630015.

The fix created for that issue is really a workaround, as I am currently unable to actually reproduce the problem.  This issue needs to be revisited at a later date, and the root cause of the error investigated and fixed; the fix in the issue mentioned above is a band-aid fix.
